Bash Bish Falls is a great short hiking trail to the highest waterfall in the state of Massachusetts. It is so close to the NYS / Mass border that there are two parking lots. One of the best ways to experience the beauty of Bash Bish is a hike. Directions are to the trailhead. side is closed. The state forest has 30 miles of hiking trails and a limited number of wilderness camping sites that are also available free of charge. At the rear of the gorge, opposite the waterfall, is a 194 feet (59 m) sheer rock wall. Would love to see this waterfall and complete this hike, but not now apparently.
